In the order of two seasons under the belt, the team behind the Heartstopper worked hard to arrange the second and third season of the show. When did the filming start in the following season you ask? September 2022 is currently written in the production list.As a fast recap, Heartstopper is a British teenage series that will adapt Alice Oseman’s novel with the same name as Oseman involved in every series.
The series was premiered on April 22, 2022 on Netflix globally and quickly rose to Netflix Top 10 Charts worldwide. According to Netflix, the series recorded more than 50 million hours of watching in the first three weeks on the platform.Fast forward about a month and we got word that the show was not only updated for the second season but also the third season as well.
The production list, available at ProductionWeekly, edition #1305 states that the shooting will begin at several points in September 2022. It also states that the shooting will take place in London and mention the Twichenham film studio.The Swee-Saw film continues to produce a series for Netflix with season 2 again determined consisting of 8 episodes.
However, what is not clear given the order of two seasons updates, is whether the season 2 and 3 will be filmed back-to-back.If we extrapolate the potential release date of this, we will say this event will almost certainly return in 2023. Season 1 takes about 3 months to shoot before heading to post -production including VFX (we will come to this in just one second), Localization, editing, and more.
If you don’t know, the Bait Studio is behind VFX for this series and they work on 340 shots including increasing the crowd, changing telephone screen content, exterior Greenscreen train, and adding FX Weather.It took about 10 months between the wrapping of film making and performances that fell on Netflix so that our best guesses today are that the show will return at the end of the late 2023.There is even more Heartstopper that comes out towards the end of the year for book lovers.
