Right when we thought Covid almost ended and life could return to normal after two years of Pandemi, one of Microsoft’s founders issued a new warning to the world. Gates has warned that there are still variants “even more transmissive and even more fatal” than Delta and Omicron variants.”We haven’t even seen the worst,” Gates said in an interview with the Financial Times.
One of the founders and generous of Microsoft said that he did not want to be a “havoc and gloom” but the risk of a more ferocious variant emerged was “far above 5 percent”.”We are still at risk that this pandemic produces variants that will be more transmissive and even more fatal,” said Gates. He also warned that a more durable vaccine that blocked the infection was needed to deal with the upcoming pandemic.
Gates also urged the creation of an international expert team including epidemiologists and computer models to identify threats and improve international coordination.He also called for a global epidemic response team, which was managed by the world health organization, to make additional investments to overcome the previous situation. “It seems wild to me that we can fail to see this tragedy and not, on behalf of citizens of the world, making this investment,” said the billionaire. Gates has warned Pandemi over the past few years. During Ted’s conversation in 2015 he talked about the Super-Virus threat. Gates has also written a book called “How to Prevent Pandemi Next”, which talks about lessons picked from Pandemi and how to prevent the next.
