Stranger Things season 4 is indeed a ways off, with the current show set to premiere on Netflix in the summer of 2022. Stranger Things’ media website has a new notification that might signal the program is experimenting with its distribution structure, but it’s probably just a malfunction.
Given that the last season of Stranger Things was released three years ago, everyone is understandably excited about its forthcoming release. Over the last few years, the current episode has been cloaked in secrecy, with production frequently being postponed.
However, additional material has been slowly released in recent months, including various teasers, a slew of images, and, of course, the summer 2022 release date.
The most recent speculation about a specific date surfaced in December 2021, when famous social media account Deuxmoi said that the new season will premiere on July 1st, 2022.
However, this is not the case. Netflix has confirmed that this is a temporary bug that will be resolved soon.
For a long time, there has been discussion over how Netflix should release its shows. Many people have claimed that weekly releases would be beneficial to Stranger Things, one of Netflix’s most popular programmes, but monthly releases are going too far.
These kinds of notices on Netflix’s media pages aren’t uncommon, and they’re almost always errors. On JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures, we last saw a bizarre message like this that stated that the series will be released weekly. That did not happen, with JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean arriving in December 2021 in its entirety.
It’s unclear how this issue occurred, but at least we now know it’s not the case.
Stranger Inside BR on YouTube deserves credit for discovering this and quickly sharing it online.
